A wide range of experiences and attractions are on offer in the Gold Coast region. From exhilarating rides to rainforest retreats to long stretches of beaches and fabulous shopping destinations – the Gold Coast hosts a full spectrum of experiences for all ages.

There is no formal partner program as part of WFITN 2015 however we invite you to click on the links below to start planning an exciting program for your partner. Please continue to check this page for exclusive congress discounts at some of the below locations.

Early Morning Activities

A variety of early morning outdoor activities will be arranged during the WFITN 2015 congress such as surfing, beach walks, running or cycling for those delegates interested. Check the WFITN 2015 congress app and email notifications for updates of planned activity schedules and arrangements.

Corrigan Walk Art Tour

Bond University is home to Australia’s largest private collection of Indigenous art on public display.

Tracing the evolution of Indigenous art from the traditional Western Desert Movement to the colourful contemporary styles, the Corrigan Walk is now attracting international acclaim. The unique collection features the works of our most celebrated and revered Indigenous artists including Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, Sally Gabori, Tommy Watson and Gloria Petyarre.

Theme Parks and Destination Experiences:

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
With over 1000 native animals, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is home to one of the largest collections of Australian wildlife in the world. Set amongst 28 hectares of lush Eucalyptus and rainforest visitors can see many of Australia’s iconic species on display in their natural habitat. There are many interactive wildlife opportunities throughout the Sanctuary where you can cuddle a koala, feed a kangaroo, hold a baby crocodile or snake.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has 13 daily shows including 2 new shows by Blinky Bill & his friends, the Free Flight Bird Show, Australiana Sheep Shearing Show and the Yugambeh Aboriginal Dancers.

Other notable highlights include the feeding of Boss Hog, a saltwater crocodile almost 5 metres in length, the cassowaries, wombats, Tasmanian devils, forest fringe birds and koalas.

Included in the admission price is the Wildlife Hospital Precinct where you can watch the vets in action. Optional upgrades are available for the Adventure Parc or guided Segway Safari tour located within the Sanctuary.

Dreamworld and WhiteWater World
Dreamworld is Australia’s biggest theme park with everything to offer from the BIG9 Thrill Rides to family fun at Wiggles World and Dreamworks™ Experience. Home to the famous Tiger Island, guests can also interact with native animals at Dreamworld’s Corroboree and explore Australia’s indigenous culture. WhiteWater World is found in the same big location, providing splashy fun all year ‘round offering thrilling slides and great family fun for everyone. Enjoy the best of both worlds!

SkyPoint
SkyPoint is Australia’s only beachside observation deck, located on Level 77 of the Q1 Building in Surfers Paradise. Rising 230 meters into the sky, SkyPoint provides stunning 360 degree views that stretch from the surf to the hinterland and beyond. Regarded as one of the Gold Coast’s most popular attractions, Skypoint has become a must see destination where guests can enjoy a bit to eat from seventy7 Café + Bar or take on the thrill of the SkyPoint Climb.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
Visit Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary. Lone Pine offers interactive, hands-on experiences, allowing you to get up close and personal to some of Australia’s most iconic wildlife. Draculas
Submerge your senses and dive in for an evening of burlesque, slick jazz and sizzling comedy. Bloodbath, the latest vaudevillian spectacle to splash onto Dracula’s stage, presents a fast-paced evening of shock rock, vampire variety. It’s an insane bouillabaisse of aerial acrobatics, circus, mind-warping optical illusions and tummy clutching comedy.
